SewGreen’s success depends on volunteers. If you think you would like to join our team of teachers, classroom assistants, retail staff, and advisors – or offer some other kind of help – contact us and tell us a little about your interests and talents.

Retail
To volunteer in our store, you must be able to commit to at least two shifts (3 or 4 hours per shift) a month. A weekly commitment is preferred. Newcomers get lots of training.

Classroom
Teachers and classroom assistants must have some knowledge of machine sewing, and we provide training specific to our classes. If you have an idea for a class you would like to design and teach, please let us know.

Prep Nights
Prep night are an excellent way to lend a hand, without making a regular commitment. On the first and fourth Monday of every month, we meet from 6:30 to 8:30 pm to prepare materials for the store or classes. You can help iron, measure, and cut fabric; wind yarn; string buttons – whatever is needed – while socializing with others who enjoy sewing and knitting. Just contact us to let us know you’re coming.
